Department Information

As intern in Market Merchandising in Womenswear in Tommy Hilfiger, you will join an energetic team of 18 colleagues in Amsterdam. You will closely work together with the countries on a daily basis, working on product & sample requests and key dates.

You will directly report to the Market Merchandising Coordinator.

Position Description

  • Supporting the daily operations of the Market Merchandising department

  • Collecting sell-out data and general sales information from countries regularly

  • Handling sample requests from countries and internal departments and tracking samples

  • Communicating product changes to the countries through a tracking document

  • Preparing presentations or documents in Excel or Power Point regularly

  • Updating selling tools, e.g. iPad and Digital Showroom assets

  • Working closely with the Merchandising team on a daily basis on collection requests from countries

  • Preparing Market Launch including setting up the Buy for International Markets and Europe

  • Preparing & attending all key meetings with the countries to check collection requirements are met

  • Assisting in managing the product shoot organization and follow up of styles and attending assortment shoots

  • Managing the divisional sample room

Position Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in college or University (HBO/WO)

  • Interest in Wholesale business and Fashion; having retail / commercial experience is a plus

  • Highly motivated & eager to learn

  • Creative & open minded solving issues under pressure

  • Proven experience with organizing projects in for example student organization or work-related atmosphere

  • Successful track record of taking ownership: proactive, flexible and hands-on

  • Good communication skills: team player, open communication style

  • Fluent in English, spoken and written

  • The candidate must be eligible to work in the EU

  • Start date: January/February 2019 for a duration is 6 months, 40 hours
