The Team

The Calvin Klein footwear division is one of the main business drivers within Calvin Klein Global. Based in the Amsterdam European HQ, the team is split into 4 sub-teams: Design, Product Merchandising & Regional Merchandising and PD. These 4 teams work together in an informal setting to create superbly styled and high-end quality products for the Global consumer base

The Position

As a member of the Global Product Merchandising team, the Junior Merchandiser Women’s Footwear will work collaboratively with the Merchandising Manager to create seasonal strategies and work closely with the Design and Product Development counter partners to create high-end quality product, focusing on the total Woman Footwear Collection.

  • Gather, organize, analyse, and consolidate information on product needs and opportunities from the commercial markets and channels, including product sell in and sell out data, market and consumer trends and insights, and direct feedback from a wide array of stakeholders such as wholesale account managers, wholesale accounts and retail store managers.

  • Support the preparation of the end-to-end product creation process – partnering with the product creation functions: Product Development, external Design agency and the Global Team in order to assure the optimal product assortment to meet EMEA product needs.

  • Work with leadership to ensure forecasts of product volumes with maximal accuracy for all different purposes (Merchandising Planning, Supply Planning, Finance)

  • Own sample management and tracking of samples

  • Work on creating and making available presentations & sales tools to the markets and channels that allow them to maximize short-, mid- and long-term sales, including documents for train the trainer sessions for new collections, and partnering with Marketing and Visual Merchandising

  • Management of PLM systems for the team, ensuring data integrity at all times.

  • Support in ad hoc seasonal projects.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Appx 2 years’ experience in Merchandising, ideally with footwear knowledge

  • Proven analytical, planning and organization skills

  • Strong communication and presentation skills

  • Developing negotiating, influencing and networking skills

  • Business and commercial acumen

  • Able to work in a fast paced, matrix based, challenging environment

  • Team player

  • Fluent English both written and verbal

  • Proactive with a willingness to learn

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Excellent Microsoft Office Skills, specifically Excel

  • Experience with PLM style management system & Miro a + Fluent in English, both written & verbal

  • Passionate about the Calvin Klein Brand and products
