The Team

This role sits in the Global Brand Marketing structure that defines and executes the marketing strategy and delivers all creative content for Tommy Hilfiger globally. It is made up of Brand Strategy, Product Marketing, Creative Direction and Operations pillars. The Operations pillar is the function which produces and scales all of Tommy Hilfiger’s global brand content (still, video, PDP, design, copy & guidelines). It’s the resourcing and planning backbone of the Global Brand Marketing organization and makes sure the teams are set up for success in executing the TH Global Brand Playbook. Furthermore, it manages all content budgets and is responsible for the systems and processes needed to scale output.

The Position

The Manager Operations is responsible for ensuring the right resourcing of teams and delivering creative content to brief, on time and within budget. Acting as a key point of contact within the Global Brand Marketing team, interacting with a wide group of stakeholders spanning the Global Marketing department, the Operations Manager works in close collaboration with the Creative Direction pillar as well as the Production & Operations team to make sure incoming projects are resourced.

Facilitating a seamless workflow and the smooth running of production resources, the Operations Manager ensures optimized delivery of quality creative assets across the Marketing functions and in line with business priorities. Building and maintaining positive partnerships with vendors and freelance resources, the Operations Manager secures external resources as required.

This is a dynamic role offering opportunity to positively impact both work and people.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to)

  • Inbounding and prioritizing briefs and content needs, ensuring production efficiency and alignment with business objectives

  • Managing workflow and operations for a team of designers and project managers, securing copy writer and art director resource on a per-project basis

  • Creating and championing team workflows and processes

  • Pipeline planning, in collaboration with Senior Directors and Senior Manager Production

  • Sourcing and management of external resource

  • Onboarding of new starters

  • Maintaining the Design server, including the archiving of projects and population of assets folders

  • Purchasing of new fonts, managing usage licenses

  • Managing design vendor relationships

The Ideal Candidate

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a creative agency / design studio environment

  • A degree in graphic design/digital design, visual communication or other design-related field is preferred

  • A deep understanding of balancing workflow and process within a creative environment

  • Full knowledge of the needs of building and managing an integrated design studio

  • A dedication to delivering the best creative work, on time and on budget

  • The ability to juggle multiple priorities with ease, employing a flexibility that allows the re-prioritization of tasks and quick reaction to last-minute requests, all while remaining calm and diplomatic in fast-paced, pressured situations

  • Capability to deliver amidst ambiguity and diverging opinion

  • An effective collaborator who builds bridges with teams and stakeholders

  • An enthusiastic team-player who is also self-initiating and motivated to work autonomously. One who enjoys working with others, sharing knowledge and best practices across the teams. Who strives to continually improve both the end result and the way we get there

  • Business level fluency in spoken and written English
