PVH Corp. Senior Director Store Operations - Van Heusen/IZOD in Bridgewater, New Jersey
The Senior Director, Store Operations is responsible for store level Communications, Store Operations, Systems Implementation, and Learning and Development. The Senior Director is responsible for identifying opportunities to drive the business, establish operational standards, and ensure continuous improvement, efficiency and effectiveness in all areas of responsibility. The position also aids in the managing of travel budgets for the stores and field.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:
Sets and continually evaluates standards of operation for all stores
Oversees all aspects of field communications including Store and Field Thread, memos and in-store communication media
Oversees all aspects of field training initiatives
Oversees all field systems and POS implementations.
Monitors all field operations to ensure achievement of sales and expense objectives.
Develops training programs for field associates to improve performance, sales and profits.
Promotes effective communications throughout operations staff.
Directs the planning and implementation of essential training and development programs.
Monitors compliance to expense budgets and communicates to responsible party
Position requires up to 30% of travel
Policy and Procedure
Ensure that all store level operational policy and procedures are current.
Direct the creation and distribution of all policy/procedure revisions and additions to continually meet the needs of the company and are consistent with sister divisions.
Ensure that all new policies and procedures are issued and/or addressed on a timely basis.
Identify and ensure the resolution of all field security issues involving our operational systems.
Work with field management to ensure restitution payments are received in a timely manner or police notified. Also, ensure restitution payment tracking.
Develop a restitution payment option for associates who have been terminated as a result of theft.
Ensure all audits and security interviews tracked and analyzed. Also ensure all field follow up visits are conducted in a timely manner as required by policy.
Respond to all operational issues that result from store audits.
Continually review pre-employment screening processes for store associates for need purposes.
Complete the Year End Summary Audit Response.
Ensure training materials are current and satisfy the needs and goals of the division.
Work with Manager of Training and Development, and Senior Manager of Operations to produce Training Newsletter.
Work with Manager of Training and Development to identify new training platforms and ensure training access by all levels of associates.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Experience: 10 years retail store operations experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Thorough understanding of store operations in a complex retail environment.
Demonstrated ability to think strategically, understand retail store challenges, and formulate effective solutions.
Leadership skills including coaching, mentoring, and associate development.
Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional partners.
Ability to communicate effectively to all levels in a stores organization.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Proficient in Adobe, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Kronos, Thread, Workday, Survey Monkey, Insider.
