POSITION TITLE: Assistant, Technical Design

BUSINESS/ORGANIZATION: CK Supply

POSITION REPORTS TO: Senior Manager, Technical Design

LOCATION: 205 W. 39th St, NY

POSITION SUMMARY

The Assistant Technical Designer will provide support for the Senior Manager, Technical Design (Men’s and Women’s ML and Studio Sweaters) at PVH through basic technical proficiencies and organization. This entails all aspects of our daily operations and functions.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB

  • Track Fit Protos partnering with Supply Chain Team (Using Centric) seasonally for all fit Protos

  • Sample Proto check-in, measure incoming garments, review sample details entering in tech package in preparation for fittings

  • Assists in coordinating fit schedules (with manager) with cross functional teams

  • Assists in preparing for fittings (measuring and steaming samples, organizing, preparing fit lists, etc.)

  • Takes notes in fittings and assists manager in writing fit comments using Centric system to Far East partners under manager’s direction and support.

  • Engage in daily communication and follow-up with Far East Partners / HUB offices for all Tech related processes

  • Coordinates and maintains sample storage (Proto, Fit, and PPS Stages)

  • Assist with general daily task management based on need within the Technical Division.

  • Support and partner with TD/Design/GSC/Merchandise/RM teams both in NY and in HUB.

  • Attend cross functional meetings and have relevant information ready for discussion.

  • Overtime is not approved unless in writing by the department Manager/Director

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Experience:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a technical design role (manufacturing wholesale / retail)

  • Technical Knowledge of Sweater and Cut and Sew Knit products

  • Garment construction and patternmaking knowledge

  • Sweater and Cut and Sew Experience preferred

Education: Degree in Technical Design or Patternmaking, preferred

Skills:

  • Excellent PC skills, including Excel, Word, Illustrator, Photoshop, and common TD Softwear packages (Centric PLM, Flex PLM, etc.)

  • Strong verbal & written Communication skills with the ability to take on initiatives

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Strong detail orientation, self-motivated team player with excellent communication skills

INTERNAL & EXTERNAL CONTACTS

Internal: Design, Sourcing, Merchants, Offshore TECH team, Off Shore Merchant team, and Internal Tech Department organization

External: Suppliers and Factories

DECISION MAKING: In accordance with manager and team

RESOURCEFULNESS/CREATIVITY: Must be creative with technical knowledge having the ability to share ideas by a recommendations or problem solving

ENVIRONMENT: Dynamic and fast-paced atmosphere requiring efficient work

Pay Range:$60,000 - $70,000

PVH currently provides base salary ranges for all positions-on job advertisements-in the United States based on local requirements. These ranges are based on what PVH reasonably believes that it will pay an associate for their base salary for said position at the time of the posting.
