Design Development Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Design Development Coordinator drives the product development and commercialization process working with the internal/external cross functional partners (Design, Merch Planning, Raw Materials, Technical Design, Supply, Hub, Factory, Sales and Operations) to deliver product that meets business requirements for quality, aesthetic and price. The Design Development Coordinator establishes consistent communication with the Hub teams /Factories regarding concerns on proper sample execution throughout the development process, and mitigates challenges upfront.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:

  • Partner with Design for seasonal development and new product launches.

  • Work with Design to initiate flash cost request; maintain cost request tracking log for follow up and receipt of costing information from Hub office

  • Work with Design to create tech packages in PLM for initial season set up , ie, bill of material, model, and packaging BOM

  • Lead initiatives that support tech pack accuracy to drive future data driven systems forward

  • Initiate all sample requests

  • Create Line Sheet with images in Visulon for Line Adoption & Line Finalization milestone meetings

  • Work with 3rd party vendor for production of selling tools – swatch card/references

  • Partner with RM, QA, and Tech teams to ensure a seasonal risk assessment is complete

  • Facilitate & participate in seasonal product reviews to evaluate sample execution and alignment to tech pack requirements

  • Oversee Late Add process and Line Adoption & Finalization meetings.

  • Attend fit sessions to review details needed to prepare block/make detail requests

  • Initiate and track style development from concept through production, ensuring all approvals are met per calendar deadlines

  • Responsible for all daily communication with overseas offices.

  • Drive product development calendar adherence

  • Build effective relationships with internal partners in Design, Sales, Merchandise Planning, and Supply and Operations to help execute cross functional synergy and collaboration

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience recommended in product development, merchandising or other related work experience.

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Strong sense of teamwork and ability to multitask.

  • Work independently.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Detail oriented and ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.

  • High energy level and must work well under pressure.

  • 4 year degree preferred

Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Proficient in PLM

  • Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator

Pay Range:$55,600 - $70,000

PVH currently provides base salary ranges for all positions-on job advertisements-in the United States based on local requirements. These ranges are based on what PVH reasonably believes that it will pay an associate for their base salary for said position at the time of the posting. Individual compensation will ultimately be determined based on a variety of relevant factors including but-not limited to qualifications, geographic location and other relevant skills.
