PVH Corp. Director, Brand Merchandising, Adaptive - Tommy Hilfiger in New York, New York
The Director Brand Merchandising, Adaptive collaborates with the Channel Merchant Leads (Full Price Retail, Wholesale and EU) and Design Leads to build a product assortment serving all business needs (Men’s, Women’s and Kids).
Receive channel sku architecture & unit projections inclusive of FOB/AUC/MSRP targets
Synergize channel sku needs for one consolidated brand sku architecture
Own meeting cadence for brand sku development for on-time calendar deliverable
Partners with Channel Merchandising, Design & Sourcing teams to build seasonal assortments covering all channel needs
Participate in color/concept, initial design and proto show-back meetings
Review/edit sketches and prints w/design partners
Review/edit protos to meet channel business needs w/design and channel partners
Assist in identifying NOS opportunity so we can secure the fast track platform working with cross functional partners on deliverables
Collaborate with channels, understand/represent business needs
Become the liaison for all Adapted product
Present and educate retail merchants and sales team on all product categories (train the trainer)
Build and present product ideas from labeling to product to presentation as recommendation to sales and retail merchant team for business growth
Responsible for agreed upon development ratios in partnership with Sourcing and Design; track and report progress
Partner with design and sourcing to drive fabric leverage across channels
Conduct continual market & trend research along with Marketing and Technical Design on adjusting/adapting current designs
Must be expert on brand positioning in all channels
Collaborate w/3rd party vendor, channel merchant, design and PVH brand merchants on pre-season development
Attend fittings to ensure channel commerciality and to build product function knowledge
Organize seasonal line review
Minimum of 8+ years in a fashion merchandising. Wholesale and retail vertical product development experience strongly preferred
Previous experience in Merchandising, Buying, Product Development is strongly preferred
Strong communication skills, both written and oral
Ability to work cross functionally, building strong relationships between various departments
Strong eye for trends and abreast on current industry news/developments
The Director of Brand Merchandising will have influence on the line architecture for Tommy Hilfiger Adaptive for all businesses (Men’s, Women’s and Kids). This position is integral in driving style and fabric and style/sku leverage across channels
The role must demonstrate a solid understanding of fashion trends and provide input to design relative to channel needs while also maintaining focus on the financial targets of the TH wholesale and retail financial targets
